UPSTAT 2026

I attended the 14th annual UPSTAT at Siena University in Loudonville, New York along with students Vijay Bapana and Henrik Bingemann. Vijay and Henrik both presented posters of their research projects, and Vijay won 3rd place in the poster competition!

Paper accepted - April 2026

 In collaboration with Eric Zhang, Jiawen Chen, and Didong Li, "Contrastive Dimension Reduction: A Systematic Review" was published in WIREs: Computational Statistics, available here.

Skidmore College

I am excited to begin a new job at Skidmore College this fall as an Assistant Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

Project NExT and MathFest 2025

From August 4-9, 2025, I attended MAA MathFest 2025 in Sacramento, CA as part of the Orange '25 cohort of Project NExT.

Graduation!

On May 10, 2025, I graduated with my Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Final Defense

I successfully defended my Ph.D. thesis, titled "Innovations in Dimension Reduction: Contrastive, Sufficient, and Fair Approaches" on April 7, 2025.

NeurIPS 2024

I attended NeurIPS 2024 in Vancouver, Canada, from December 10-15, where I presented my paper on Contrastive Dimension Estimation. I made some friends studying in Heidelberg, Germany!
